Tetley's own description is short and accurate: Kenyan and Assam teas blended for a full-bodied, rich, and invigorating brew. Kenyan tea is known for briskness and color, Assam for malt and body, and that pairing is the classic formula for a breakfast tea that holds up to milk and sugar. The round bags have no string, tag, or staple, and Tetley says the shape is for faster infusion.

What is in Tetley British Blend?
Tetley USA says British Blend is made from Kenyan and Assam teas. It is sold in round bags with no string, tag, or staple, which Tetley says infuse faster, and it is Rainforest Alliance Certified and Kosher. Tetley USA lists it in 72, 100, and 320-count packs. It is not organic. Tetley itself dates back to 1837 and is now part of Tata Consumer Products; British Blend is its best-known black tea in the US.
Tetley British Blend caffeine
Tetley does not publish a British Blend-specific number. Its US site gives 50 mg of caffeine per cup of Tetley black tea, and its global FAQ gives a range of 30 to 50 mg depending on the blend and how much tea is in the bag. British Blend is a full, strong black tea, so 50 mg per cup is the right working figure: about half a cup of drip coffee.
